For Mother's Day, I wanted to make something yummy, and cute. I didn't want to go over the top, so I made my yummy white cake cupcakes. With my new frosting recipe that is to die for. Then topped each cupcake with a simple, cute flower, and edible gold stars.

Hi Ho! Everyone. We've got a Muppet theme this week. I have to say, I feel like I slept, ate, and breathed muppets for a straight week.
Definitely not! I think Beaker is one of my favs for sure.
Of course, the Great Gonzo! In the movie, he tears his suit off, to reveal this amazing hot pink outfit. (A scene me and my 5 year old watched a few times. I hope I captured it.

Well, this was my first, first communion cake. Admittedly I had to google what a first communion cake should look like while I was on the phone.
My client already had bought this little statue, which I thought was a perfect little topper. We were torn between deciding if we should do an all white cake, which I think is the norm for a first communion cake. But in the end we decided to add some pink, so it wouldn't look to much like a wedding cake.
It was fun to do something I never had done before, plus I always love doing things like this that are simple and girlie. I hope she had a wonderful first communion, and celebration to go with it. I'm glad I got to help her celebrate her very important special day.
